MATLAB – Parallelization and Performance (English), Winter 20/21

Would you like to make your MATLAB code faster? Do you run into problems with insufficient memory? Would you like to learn how to use MATLAB on the cluster? This course will give an overview of MATLAB features important to cluster users and how to make the best use of them.

In this one-day course you will learn:

  • five ways to use MATLAB on a cluster and their pros and cons
  • how to parallelize your MATLAB code
  • what features MATLAB offers for performance measurement and parallel development
  • tips and tricks to make your MATLAB code more efficient
  • how to integrate C++ and Fortran functions into your code

Basic knowledge of MATLAB is a prerequisite for this course. It is not necessary to have cluster access beforehand. If you would like to use your own computer, you are free to do that, provided your MATLAB version is not older than about 3 years. Alternatively, you will be able to use the cluster with an account provided by us.

More details of this and other ZIMT courses (for example cluster and Linux introduction courses) can be found on our website. Our courses are held every semester, alternating between German and English.
