HPC workshop on Wednesday, 2022-11-09
Dear cluster users,
 
we would like to discuss the topic of High-Performance Computing (HPC) at the University of Siegen and the current and future challenges and possible fields of action with you as our customers. For this reason, we are offering you a workshop day on Wednesday, 09.11., from 2:00-4:00 pm. We would be delighted to welcome you there.
 
The concrete goal of this workshop is to discuss the HPC strategy of our university.
Hardware cooperations with (or even at) other universities in NRW may be one option for example.
 
If you cannot attend the workshop, we would be happy to receive your ideas and thoughts.

Announcement C++ introduction (German), weekly from October 17, 2022

Dear cluster users,

in the upcoming winter semester 22/23 we offer once again our C++ introduction course. It will be held by our team member Verena Betge and will cover the basics of programming in general and in C++ specifically. The course is intended for absolute programming newbies. The course will be held in German.

Unlike our other courses, this course will not be held in a single block, but rather distributed over the semester’s lecture period. The first date is October 17, 2022, there will be 9 blocks overall. The blocks will be held every Monday 10:15-11:45.

The course is available to all students and employees. There is no prerequisite knowledge.
